| Over the past fifty years, job relocations, social issues and time pressures have isolated many of us. We live in one town, work in another and shop in another. Recently, however, people have become eager to restore the bonds between us and develop more meaningful relationships where we live and work; bonds that we call community. The Institute For Community began 10 years ago, established by community, business, and spiritual leaders to address quality of life issues in America’s neighborhoods. Years of research and development led to the creation of technologies to deliver quality, affordable services to neighborhoods that focus on building strong family values, balanced lifestyles and quality relationships. The IFC is a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit community service organization. Marquette is proud to be a founding sponsor of the Institute For Community which is headquartered at Marquette's flagship neighborhood, Highpoint Community Apartments in Romeoville Illinois. The Institute for Community is dedicated for providing charitable programming that exists to help people build relationships where they live and work through the power of genuine community. |
